The Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market is just over six weeks away! This Wednesday, basket expert Terry DeWald begins a series of lectures and discussions called “Prepare for the Fair” with the history of baskets in the Southwestern United States. Highlights include the basketry of the Navajo, Apache and Tohono O’odham tribes. Terry will display 50-75 baskets during his presentation, at the next Guild membership meeting, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. this Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the Steele Auditorium. Come learn about basketry and the fun and rewards of being a Guild member.
