The Helion Heart By Heidi Foley When the rough winds blow, On the summit of Time There is a rustling within the center of my mind I grasped the Helion Heart tightly within the hollow of my hand Its warmth, a comfort. Yet, There could be no peace For my restless mind From the Helion’s crystal center, a teardrop sheds itself It cried for me I watched the revolutions of the world pass the Summit With every turn, the rough winds blew They brought Sorrow, joy, hate, and hope , Mingled with love All, setting my mind into desperate turmoil The Helion sparkled through the revolutions And when the trees fell, in the Forest of Life The Helion showed me others, That grew in their place Another revolution has passed on the Summit of Time On which I stand In the shadow of new trees That now shadow this land My mind not so restless now, Stands in the strong winds I find little comfort in the Helion Heart As its fragility slips through my fingers I watched it plummeting to its death down the Summit And with it went A single tear from me
