The Herald has received several inquiries about police activity last night. This report from Sanger Police Chief Silver Rodriguez may answer a few of the questions - On Sept. 8, 2014 at 9:45 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Edgar Street on a call of a stabbing incident/Assault with a deadly weapon. Officers found a 22 year old male with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to CRMC Hospital in Fresno, by ambulance. He was last reported to be in stable condition at CRMC. During the course of the investigation, Officers determined the incident may have occurred at Cesar Chavez Park. The investigation is continuing and SPD Investigators are working on leads that may reveal the motive for the crime and possibly the identity of the suspect. A lot of work to do still, and this is the most basic information we can release at this time.
