The Heritage Festival is about community. It brings about reunions of friends who see each other one time a year. It brings about people who have talents of creating great food and crafts. It brings about Jr. High and High School students who help people they have never met before. It brings about learning about the heritage of a one-room schoolhouse. It brings about children who get to pet animals and create their own crafts. It brings about musicians who have voice and instrumental talents beyond measure. It brings about a sense of pride in our community and state. It brings about a group of people who meet once a month to plan this wonderful event. It brings about unity of people who share a love of Boone County and West Virginia. I am proud to be from Boone County and the wonderful state of West Virginia!!!
