The High Commissioner for Human Rights made a strong statement on Palestine today in the opening,session of the 26th HRC, especially with regard to the prisoners I remain deeply troubled by deaths and injuries resulting from excessive use of force by Israeli security forces. I reiterate my call for the Israeli authorities to respect international norms regarding due process, and to either release or formally charge Palestinians in administrative detention – a number of whom have been on hunger strike for several weeks...
