The High Line, a wonderful treasure high above the streets of New York City, is a park/trail built on an unused elevated freight rail line. It is absolutely amazing how they have made what could have been an eyesore, or just something else to tear down, into such a beautiful, cultural and tranquil retreat. In a related issue, our own John Chiaviello tested the rails and surrounding area prior to the development, or even the idea of the High Line. Always the visionary, John was there, walking and talking with the powers that be. Then the High Line was created. Coincidence? I think not... thehighline.org/about/park-information
