The History of the Indian subcontinent being ruled over by Muslims for such a large period of time is not only fascinating , inspiring and what have you but also a very solid proof of two things 1. The failure of the Governments and turkish or farsi or arab dynasties coming after the 10th century to INSPIRE the PAGAN people of the TRUE beauty of Islam the way the EARLIER GENERATIONS WON THEIR HEARTS 2. that Islam did not primarily spread through sword . But I for one dont even neglect the role of sword in AIDING to the spread of an idealogy (or a religion).
