The Hmong Consortium of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies and the Asian American Studies Program, UW-Madison Present: Bits and Bytes: Tracing Hmong Diasporic Culture and History through the Digital Humanities Mitch Ogden, Assistant Professor, UW-Stout 6:00-7:30 pm, Thursday, March 6, 2014, Ingraham Hall, room 206 This event will trace the presence and influence of the digital through Hmong cultural production since the mid-twentieth century. The goal of this event is to become aware of projects that digitally explore, archive, and invent Hmong diasporic experiences—and to generate ideas for new projects. We will dedicate time to actively dialogue about your ideas for ways that we might use an array of digital tools to experience and understand Hmong cultural production and history.
