The Holly Outdoor Recreation Coalition would like to invite your organization to join us at the 2013 Community Play Day and help Holly demonstrate that we truly are a ‘Playful City’! The big event is scheduled to take place Saturday, September 14th from 1pm to 4pm in Crapo Park. Community groups, civic clubs, sports teams, school groups, churches and non-profit organizations have the opportunity to set up tables or displays in Crapo Park that introduce their group to our guests. Think of your involvement in this event as a membership drive or a way to share your organization’s mission with others. More than 500 people came out to Community Play Day in 2012 and we expect even more this year! The only thing we ask is that your group provides some sort of free “playful” activity for the Play Day visitors to engage in. Some examples are hula hoops, jump rope, hopscotch, sack race, tug-of-war, bean bag toss, seed-spitting contest, etc. If your group would like to participate in the 3rd Annual Community Play Day, please contact Katy Hughes, Community Play Day Coordinator at (248) 459-4835 or 007khughes@gmail before September 7th to reserve your space in the park area / parking lot.
