The Hon Hekia Parata, Minister of Education, is undertaking a series of visits to Schools and early childhood education centres in the north Wellington area. She is to visit Paparangi Kindergarten as part on Tuesday 16 September at 1.40pm for about 30 minutes. We have been advised The Minister would like to take time to be shown around, mix and mingle with the staff and Children, and to speak with staff and any parents who are on-site at the time about education issues. The Minister will be accompanied by an Adviser from her office and also by Brett Hudson, the National candidate for Ohariu. The Minister likes to have a photographic record of her visits. No photos will be taken that could identify any of the children. Permission will be sought in advance to take photos of anyone at the centre. Photos taken would NOT be used for any promotional purpose without obtaining the prior consent of any individuals. We believe it is important for our whanau to be able to make an informed choice and therefore we have extended an invitation to several other local candidates to pop in prior to her visit. Approx. 1:30pm. It would be great to see as many people as possible take this opportunity to meet and ask questions of those in Government, and those wishing to be, and also be able to emphasize to our candidates the benefits of quality early childhood education. We have also decided if our guests have not left by 2:20pm we will not hold a mat time and children can be collected from where ever they are working.
