Obama has faced significant criticism for taking the unilateral action that, once enacted, will allow millions of illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation. While the House vote reflects that disapproval, it is largely recognized as an ultimately hollow attempt to censure Obama for his unprecedented action.
