The House of Representatives just passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015 (H.R. 4435), which included my amendment to help transfer 15 acres of the Norwalk Tank Farm to the City of Norwalk for public and recreational space. City officials have worked tirelessly for over a decade and passage of this amendment is a reflection of compromise reached by the U.S. Air Force and the City of Norwalk. Turning this blighted property into a park and making it available for public use is a great victory for the community. I stand committed to doing everything I can to ensure the site is fully restored and safe for public use.
