The Houston SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for burning a cat and her kittens in Houston, TX. The feline family was rescued by our 24-hour Animal Rescue Ambulance on September 4 from an apartment complex in southwest Houston. The 3-year-old cat and her 8-week-old kittens are suffering from extensive burns on their bodies. Houston SPCA veterinarian Dr. Amy Crum said the mother and kittens are receiving medications and are resting comfortably. “But, with any burns of this extent, our obvious concern is infection. The next 24 to 48 hours will be critical.” Anyone with information about this horrific crime is urged to call dispatch at (713) 755-7628. - Houston SPCA
