The Hub - Ireland A caller to the Ray Darcy show this morning has already shown us the way. The woman concerned has been in mortgage arrears due to her circumstances, had agreed a reduced payment of €40 per month to her lender, AIB, but then found this too onerous. In the light of the Anglo tapes revelations, she wrote to AIB telling them she proposed to pay them just €5 per month, and insisting that she intended to fill in no forms etc to justify her unilateral "restructuring" of her payments. She remarked that if asked how she had hit upon the figure of €5, she would be saying she had picked it "out of my arse". A subsequent phone conversation with AIB resulted in them saying this figure would be acceptable. When she asked what their reaction was to her justification of the sum offered, the AIB man said he found it amusing but could comment no further!
