The Humane Society Legislative Fund, the nation’s leading political advocacy organization for animal welfare, announces its endorsement of Rep. Bruce Braley, D-Iowa, for election to the U.S. Senate. Citing his support of animal protection policies, the HSLF urges Iowa voters to support Braley in November’s general election. In contrast, his opponent Joni Ernst opposes any restrictions or accountability for the ethical treatment of animals and poultry on factory farms as well as pet mills. She voted for the ag gag law, which protects these operations from whistleblowers who expose unethical treatment of animals. I guess we cant expect anything different from a woman who proudly proclaims her expertise at hog castration and enjoys making them squeal.
