The IB PYP programme embraces internationalism and what better way to celebrate Halloween, than incorporate it into the current unit of inquiry “The Natural World Around Us”. We spent the day inquiring into spiders and their habitats as well as the cycle of pumpkins. The students of Kindergarten helped carve their own pumpkin by removing the pulp while developing a greater understanding for how pumpkins reproduce, watched as the Jack o’ lantern lit up reciting the trick or treat poem and completed the pumpkin inquiry with our scary pumpkin face craft.
