The INLS Board of Trustees elections were held over the last 2 weeks and the final results were announced this morning. As the Leader ( Vhair, Board Of Trustees) of the incoming team, I will like to thank the following: Dr. Gopi Upreti, Chair Election Committee I will like to thank you for conducting the INLS Board of Trustees elections in a very professional manner. You were very patient, a good listener and a fair decision maker. Because of your hard work and dedication, the elections were completed within the time line. My Team members: I will like to thank members of my team who had faith and trust in me and each other and are totally dedicated to the the ideals of the INLS and are committed to its bright future. In addition to those being on the panel, Padam Bishwakarma, Bimal Nepal and Suman Timsina worked very hard to ensure that we win the elctions. If not for their urging, support and theitr total dedication to the ideals of the INLS, I would not have even taken theis step. Puroshattam Subedi and his team Although we were conntesting against each other, Puruhji and I have collaborated together in many INLS projects for many years. We have mutual respect for each other and this helped us to run our campaigns in a very positive and professional manner. I called him within hours of the announcement of the election results and had a long chat. I look forward to have him actively participate in many INLS projects in the future. Homnath Subedi I have also worked with Homnath Subediji since I was ANA Vice President and he was the Chief Editor of the ANA Newsletter. Over the years, he started INLS and singlehandedly built it into a formidable worldwide organization. I have worked with him in many INLS projects and mobilized support for many of its projects. I have profound respect for him. I have already spoken with him over the phone and we had a very friendly chat. I long look forward to his continued invlovement in INLS literary projects. INLS BOT memebrs I have profound respect and praise for all the INLS BOT members. Its a small group of less than 25 people spread all over the world who know each other very well and making a choice at the elections can be a personal struggle. But they showed their maturity and professionalism by practicing democtratic norms without making it personal. May saute to them I am quite confident that with such a team of accomplished (we have 100 years of executive level of experience in the team) persons and wide support of everyone, INLS will expand and prosper in a very efficiently run, nonpolitical organization that all can be proud of. We have listed 14 tasks of immediate urgency (in our election brochure) that will be intiated within 100 days of our taking office. Thank you everyone who gave me this opportunity to serve the Nepali language and literatyre, I feel honored and humbled by your trust and confidence in me.
