The Ice Bucket Challenge has been fantastic in raising public awareness about this horrible Motor Neurone Disease. I am hoping to organise a different type of fundraiser... in the form of a 4-hour mountainbike bike endurance / fun ride for individuals and teams with crowdfunding or sponsorhips to raise the $$$.... at this stage its early days for details, but October 25th is the day ... location is the beautiful flowing trails of Blores Hill, Glenmaggie... bonus being a live rock band at Munjara Outdoor Centre as a bit of a reward for those participating and support crewing.... The riding will be challenging for some, but with the support of other riders, not impossible... and I am sure fun WILL be had... :-) Accommodation will be available for those travelling from afar... all proceeds will go to MND research. There will be time to chill by the lake, visit local wineries or have a paddle... Set this date in your diaries ... and stay tuned.
