The Ice Bucket Challenge just had a pretty harsh article written about it...in the Huffington Post, I think. I am sure there are plenty of people who are doing it for fun and not in fact donating anything, but lets remember the point and ensure that we are all donating to the ALS cause and prove the author of that article wrong!! If you are doing the challenge, make sure you remind people to donate EVEN IF they do the challenge. That is the whole point!! Ive heard anything from $10 to $25 for the minimum, and you are supposed to donate $100 if you dont do the ice challenge. Yes, some people think its dumb and yes, it would be nice if people would just donate without dumping ice on their head. But lets be honest, the dumbing down of America has already happened. Just go with it. ;-) It has raised some awareness and donations are up exponentially. Here is a link if you want to make a donation. I had a relative die of ALS so I was more than happy to donate. And in fact, PLEASE SHARE this if you want because if you are even seeing this post, you are in the minority because Facebook hides posts that have links to outside sites.
