The Ice Water Challenge: Is it REALLY about ALS? Or is it just a good excuse to dump ice water on people? ANd if you get the ice water, you avoid having to donate? How is THAT helping ALS, if you get out of donating by dumping ice water? Patrick Stewarts challenge is the classiest best one Ive seen so far - because he writes a check first, presumably to contribute to ALS research. THEN, he very quietly... douses himself in ice.. and a recreational beverage of his own choice, in his own time. Thats class. Most of the Ice Bucket responses - and PREsponses - Ive seen out there are actions and reactions that a person with advanced ALS would not be able to do. Show me Steven Hawking doing the Ice Bucket challenge. Now, THAT GUY doing it would actually have some cred.
