The Iceman vs The Nigerian Gentleman 2. I want to thank everyone who came out not only to watch my fight tonight but also to support our sport. I want to thank God for a successful and hitch free event but also to thank my darling wife Lucy Umohette who has toiled immensely and stood by me. Our crew Tom Reed family, Nigerian community and so many friends too numerous to mention. I give my congratulations to the new champ Lyle Mcdowell for his win tonight. He has always been an excellent fighter and proved same tonight. To my fans, I apologize that it wasnt our night but sometimes, it is best when faced with injury to withdraw to fight again some other day. I know everyone will be anxious to see the third part of this trilogy in a rematch. For now, we will take a well needed rest, spend time with family and continue moving forward. Once again.
