The Idaho State Board of Education named Blake Youde its new Chief Communications and Legislative Affairs Officer. Youde comes from St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as the director of ACCESS Academies, a nonprofit organization that provided economically disadvantaged families college prep education opportunities. Before that, he was the Deputy Superintendent of Institutional Advancement for St. Louis Public Schools. He succeeds Marilyn Whitney who joined Governor Butch Otter as Senior Special Assistant for Education and Government Services.
