The Imitation Game left me with mixed feelings. I left the theatre angry, which I think was the point. The way Turing was treated was monstorous. The fact that he did so much for the world makes this even worse. When I got home I did a little research on him. That was also the point. I could go into specifics. I could say that the jumping through three time frames was jarring. I could complain about the depiction of Turing as That smart guy with no social skills that has suddenly become a tv and movie trope.I could, but the message of the movie is too important. The 50s was a silent holocaust for gays. Most people dont know that. They should.
