The Indian Army has invited online applications from November 1 from unmarried male candidates for its 10 +2 Technical Entry Scheme commencing in July 2015. Army provides basic military training and technical training to selected candidates and on successful completion of the course, they will be awarded engineering degree and granted permanent commission in the rank of Lieutenant. There are 90 vacancies. Indian citizens born between January , 1966 and January 1, 1999 and those who have passed plus two or equivalent examination with at least 70 per cent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply. The candidates should be physically and medically fit. Online application facilities will be provided on joinindianarmy.nic.in from November 1 to 30. Instructions for filing the online application are given on the website. After submitting the application, candidates are required to take two printouts of the application and the roll number generated by the system. One copy of the printout signed by the candidate and affixed with a photograph attested by a gazetted officer should be produced during the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview along with the originals and photocopies of Class X certificate /mark sheet showing date of birth and Class 12 certificate and mark sheets duly attested by a gazette officer. The candidate should keep the second copy of the printout for reference. Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interview from February/March. Selected cadets will get a stipend of Rs 21,000 a month for three years.
