Mike Chapman and Bro. Christopher Chapman. They were both baptized last Sunday, July 28. God has allowed Calvary to baptize 19 so far this year. Last year at this time He let us baptize 17 but by the end of August He gave us 7 more to bring the total to 24. Praise the Lord. The ministry of Calvary has seen 18 professions of faith this association year which began on September 1, 2012 and will end on August 31, 2013.. The summer food program will end on Wednesday, August 7. Thank you to all the volunteers that help with this program. Several helped but because of the number of helpers I will not try to give names. Bro. Mike and Sis. Carmellita Chapman were in charge and everyday this summer, Monday through Friday, they were at the church to hand out food to children in the community. Thank you to the Chapman’s for being here when most of us couldn’t. Wednesday night, August 7, will be our annual business meeting to plan for 2013 – 2014 church year. Several positions to be filled. Sis. Dixie Kelly has volunteered to prepare a roast for the meal. Sis. Georgia Stephens also volunteered to fix a roast. Should be plenty of food, others are to bring a potluck dish. Desserts are always welcomed. The order of the services will be eat at 5:00 PM, pastor will lead in the service at 6:00 PM, business meeting will be around 6:45 PM. * Wednesday night, August 14 Sis. Shandi Skaggs has volunteered to lead the service. Shandi was just recently saved and baptized. Sis. Carmellita Chapman did an outstanding job last Wednesday night. * Sunday morning, August 25, Bro. Gregg Strange from Nashville, TN will be singing and preaching in the morning service. Greg is a Christian Comedian. Funny stories, songs, sing-a-longs. Services will begin at 10:30 AM. * Friday night, September 20, @ 7:00 PM, Steve Hess and Southern Salvation, from Nashville, TN will be in concert at Calvary. * Sat. night and Sun. morning, October 12 and 13 – The Dean Family from Springfield, MO in concert at Calvary * Bro. Terry Smith from Nashville, TN will be in concert at Calvary, Sunday morning, November 10, @ 10:30 AM. Terry is the composer of “Far side Banks of Jordan.” He has composed over 1000 songs. * Bro.
