The charter members were Jewell Caldwell, Pearl Caldwell. Betty Daughhetee, Ronnie Daughhetee, Edith Davis, Ray Davis, Bobbi Davis, Buddy Eagle, Odie Stephens, I.T. Pastor’s Notes: From the past Calvary’s newsletter June 1977: (The Gospel Continentals and Evangelist Louis Husser were with Calvary in revival June 12, 1977. Sixteen people made professions of faith during this time. God sent near 100 first-time visitors during this revival.) We have seen some good times at Calvary over the past 40 years. I left Calvary for a few years but have served as pastor for 32 years I think total. I am ready to go when God is ready for me to go. It has been a rough trip at times but it has been a good trip. I have a home is Heaven. Bro. Bill Scaggs brought a very good salvation message last Sunday night. Wednesday night, many shared different ways God had led them to lead people to a profession of faith. It is so good to be part of a church where the members are used of God to lead people to the Lord. May we never leave the impression the following children had of church and let’s not play church but worship God: A pastor came home one day to find his daughter arguing with her friends in the bedroom. From the front hallway he could hear them yelling and calling each other names, so he quickly made his way up the stairs. `Whats going on in here? he asked as he entered the room. His five-year-old looked up at him and smiled. `Its okay, Daddy.
