The Instructional Strategy Instructional strategies are the ways in which teachers design their communication to teach the objectives to students. Some teachers, particularly those at the college level, seem to be totally unaware that there is any instructional strategy other than lecturing, and some do not do that well. Students learn in different ways, and they are likely to have the greatest affect for things that are taught in the way they learn best. Varying instructional strategies is necessary to accomplish different levels of learning. Most students enjoy learning more when there are regular changes in class routine; younger children find it impossible to pay attention without frequent shifts in what they are doing.
