The Inter division semi-final between Rhino Galaxy and Northside Lunachicks was off to a slow start last Saturday, with both teams taking the time to warm up their gameplay before really taking on the competition. Rhinos took the first quarter with a show of phenomenal speed and excellent feeding of the ball into the circle, but just couldn’t manage to sink enough goals in order to secure a confident lead. Northside never missed an opportunity to snatch the ball back into their possession, and the shooting accuracy of player Tiarn Munro was a sight to be seen. The competition began to grow fierce as Rhinos pulled out a show of high-pressure defence in order to limit the scoring capabilities of their opponent, but their efforts began to fall short as the fatigue finally set in and the two teams were soon going goal-for-goal. Northside picked up their defence in the last few intense minutes of the game, scooping up enough turnovers in order to take the game by just two goals as the final buzzer sounded, ending with a score of 28-26.
