The International Commission of Blue Cross and Blue Crescent (ICmsnBC) or the International Commission, is a non-governmental humanitarian agency that is part of the International Blue Cross and Blue Crescent movement, and works to set standards in best practice, good governance, accountability and transparency within the IFBC National Blue Cross or Blue Crescent Societies and consequently public confidence and trust in the IFBC national societies work. The ICmsnBC operates on the ground at district level within the ICmsnBC -District Commissions, and is headed by a District Commissioner that overseas the activities of a number of appointed District Auditors. Internal Audits are monitored by an external body the FIBCO National Cooperative of NGOs that are the sponsors of the IFBC National Society. The International Commission is mandated by the International Movement to works to facilitate audit and compliance of IFBC national society delegations, and or FIBCO Cooperative Member NGOs operating in a particular country, assisting them to become compliant, and ensuring they maintain compliance, with the applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, or other government requirements. The International Commission is responsible for developing operating guidelines and providing guidance on a countries regulations. Guidance is advisory only and is intended to be an overview of the key operating parameters, therefore, it is essential that information be confirmed accurate at national level and that both IFBC National Society delegations, and or FIBCO Cooperative Member NGOs make their own inquiries as to the status of the law and seek professional legal advice when needed. The International Commission works in partnership with a number of organisations. Most, but not all, of these organisations are national or international charitable IGOs, NGOs, CSOs themselves. These organisations may be in cooperative membership of the Federation of International Blue Cross and Blue Crescent Organizations (FIBCO). The International Commission also works with other bilateral partners, the International Federation of Blue Cross and Blue Crescent Societies (IFBC), and other component agencies that form the International Blue Cross and Blue Crescent movement. The International Commissions work respects the Movements fundamental principles, as defined by the International Conference of the Blue Cross and Blue Crescent Movement, notably those of humanitarianism, volunteerism, moralism, transparency, impartiality, empowerment, sustainability, neutrality, benevolence and respect. https://facebook/groups/International.Commission.BC/
