Well be bringing you a tip from internationally acclaimed players and coaches who have contributed to previous courses over the next few weeks, in the run up to the Elite course that is being held in Durban in December. We begin this week with Charl Marais, on the hooker position: ‘The hooker’s bread and butter is his line-out throwing. The hooker can also be an extra loose forward. It is a great asset to be able to combine with the loose trio and be a threat at the breakdown. The hooker needs to set the scrum and work closely with his props.’
