The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program was thrilled to be the recipients of a $1,000 cheque presented by the Ganaraska Financial Credit Union this morning. As part of the GRAND OPENING ceremonies at the new GFCU branch at 823 Park Street South, the Kawartha Komets were chosen to receive the $1,000 grant. Local MPP Jeff Leal, Mayor Daryl Bennett and Councillor Lesley Parnell were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony. There was a good representation of Komets players, parents and board members on hand for this special occasion. BLAZE KOMETS, BLAZE!
