The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has advised its VIP subscribers to utilize the electronic attestation facility to avoid overcrowding at its main and branch offices due to the rush of foreign workers wanting to beat the deadline for correcting their residency and employment status. Mohieddin Bin Yahya Al-Hakami, JCCI assistant secretary general, said the service will enable subscribers to authenticate documents right from their own offices whether they are in the Kingdom or abroad without the need to come personally to the chamber. “This service will save subscribers time and effort,” he said. He said the electronic attestation will protect the papers and documents from being improvised or altered at the time of printing. “Under this service the attested documents will be archived and the subscribers can always check them over the Internet,” he said. Al-Hakami said those who wish to sign up for the service should visit the JCCI website jcea.org.sa to register. “Following this step, the subscriber should visit the office of the subscribers’ service and documentation at the first floor of the JCCI’s main building to sign the service contract and pay the fees. “Subscribers will be asked to use their name and password to activate the service. They can then print their papers and seal them with the special stamps that will be given to them when they sign the service contract,” he said.
