The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and UJA-Federation of New York join leaders in Israel, in the US and around the world in condemning these vicious murders. These are difficult days. This past Monday we received word that Naftali Frankel, Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach had been brutally murdered by their Palestinian terrorist captors. Then on Wednesday we learned of the horrific murder of Mohammed abu Khdeir, followed several days later by the arrest of six Jewish Israelis. And just yesterday we read that an Arab Israeli cab driver was apprehended and confessed to the murder of 19 year-old Shelly Dadon. At times like these, words are so often inadequate to capture the depth of our feelings. However, we would like to draw attention to a noteworthy piece published in Israel this morning. Writing together in Yediot Ahronot, the countrys most widely-read newspaper, President Shimon Peres and President-elect Reuven Rivlin speak out against revenge and bloodshed and call for an end to hatred and incitement. The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and UJA-Federation of New York join leaders in Israel, in the US and around the world in condemning these murders and adding our voice in support of efforts to halt bigotry and provocation to violence. ynetnews/articles/0,7340,L-4538798,00.html
