The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying person or persons responsible for the shooting of a horse at a property located at 1146 Amana Rd. NW. Amana, Iowa. The Sheriff received a complaint on July 17 at approximately 9:15 a.m. that a horse had been shot. After an exam by a veterinarian, it was determined the injuries had occurred prior to July 17. Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect or suspects. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). All calls are held in strict confidence and anonymity is guaranteed. Individuals providing information do not have to reveal their identity to collect a reward.
