The Jolly Lean Giant has three days of school left, and he has begged me to allow him to drive. (its about twenty miles to his school out on the gulf of mexico) :-O We have thoroughly discussed all the assholes and idiots in a hurry to get to work because they could not get their lazy dumb asses outta bed... annnnnd he is a responsible, intelligent aware and alert young man... BUT... I am still a nervous wreck (oh shit maybe I shouldnt have used that particular word). I tried my best to convince him to ride the bus, save his fuel money and wear & tear on his vehicle. I tried to impress upon him the need to conserve for the future, extra pollution in the air and all that other responsible earth and posterity stewardship stuff... unfortunately all his teenage ego/hormones sees is taking his truck to school to show it off. *sigh* I remember that feeling all too well, and I reluctantly gave in. *hangs head* I was truly hoping that he would be smarter than me *sigh* perhaps someday.
