The Jordanian Iaido National Team has applied for a Finnish visa - TopicsExpress

The Jordanian Iaido National Team has applied for a Finnish visa through the Norwegian Embassy in Jordan about a month and a half ago. The team is to attend the 21st European Iaido Championship that will be held in Helsinki on the 30th of November 2014. So far, no one has any idea as to whether the team will be granted the visa or not. Obviously, this is causing an embarrassing situation to the team and the organizing Finnish Kendo Association, who has shown utmost patience and tolerance towards this predicament. We have always debated whether Jordan ought to reciprocate these draconian visa processes. The majority of the Jordanian “assumingly” refuse to subject any Western national to such morbid and insulting visa procedures. Any European can enter Jordan within twenty minutes or so, even if you are Carlos himself! On the other hand, and in the 21st century, Mecca and Medina are still prohibited to non-Muslims.
