The Joys of Fatherhood: I am truly convinced that we can have it all. Today my sons 10-12 basketball team won the New Covenant Church of Philadelphia and Bethesda Church AIM FOR THE NET Basketball Championship. I would like to send a special thanks to Sam Grannum and Johnny L Wyche Jr for pushing Josh. I told you that he was a young beast from the beginning. This is what we produced over here -- LOL. Josh loved each week and he told me in the car, Dad, everyone will be gunning for us next year since we were undefeated. Josh was so proud of the trophy and booklet that he picked a space in the living room (It doesnt look right at all, but we will let it go for a few days). This league filled New Covenants gym each week with parents, boys, and coaches. Josh told me that he had to step his game up today because he had all his family in the stands. I am thankful for your commitment and Joshs involvement -- he will be a better young man because of it. Engaging the hearts of black boys involves some very simple things practiced consistently that can change a young boys life. These stories are some of the keys. Sam Grannum -- Do it bigger and better brother. My son was inspired!!!! I am experiencing the joys of fatherhood...
