The Kaba is an amazing work of art. The profound nature of it is beyond words. The black veil (Kiswah) symbolizing the night and darkness of Layla, who is metaphoric expression of the Divine—saying in silent language that to reach unto the Divine presence you must transcend the night of your lower desires and reach the light of your higher self. Whiles its four corners face upward in the celestial realm and its simple cube of stone shows ultimately that the path is simple and veiled with transcendence whiles denoting immanence. Our sacred tradition talks of the kaaba as point of convergence for the hearts, when the pilgrim make tawaf on the left side of her body which is were the heart resides, she connects to the infinity of heavens. The seven circuits reminiscent of the seven celestial heavens and the rotation of the solar system by Gods leave. So whiles you circumumbulate youre in tune with the heavenly bodies, showing you the cosmic bodies are all connected to the One.
