The Kabbalists refer to Tu B’Av is one of the most joyous days of the year when we can download a specific energy that assists us in connecting to and strengthening our bonds with our soul’s “mates,” be they in romantic relationships, friendships, family or even business. We celebrated Tu BAv with special lectures from Kabbalah Centre Spiritual Director Karen Berg and Co-Director Michael Berg. Karen shared with hundreds of members of our New York community excerpts from lectures that she and The Rav had given at previous celebrations of Tu B’Av, pointing out that on this day we connect to the energy of mercy, kindness and blessings. We also witnessed that energy manifested in the wedding of Lauren and Oleg who married that evening right here at Kabbalah Centre New York City. In a beautiful and emotional ceremony led by Michael Berg, Lauren and Oleg committed to one another in front of family and friends and surrounded by students from the New York Centre. We celebrated the happy couple at a wedding reception also held here. A person visiting the Centre for the first time that evening asked, “Why are they having their wedding here?” A longtime student responded, “We celebrate together because we’re a community.” Below are photos from the event and the wedding.
