The Kabbalists speak at length about the sin of Adam, the first - TopicsExpress

The Kabbalists speak at length about the sin of Adam, the first man, which has historical significance. The effect of that sin was not isolated to Adam alone. That sin transformed the status of the World. If we break down this idea on the level of the individual, one’s path of education brings him to fulfill certain commandments, not be careful about some and even transgress others. When a person uses discretion, he has the freedom to choose what to do or what not to do. But he should know that the first time he performs a mitsvah (commandment) he creates a new positive reality that is connected to that mitsvah while the same applies to any transgression that is done. In this regard one must beware of temptation, and “take liberties” which may lead him to stumble.
