The Kankakee River Running Club welcomes individuals of all ages, abilities, and fitness preferences. The club is a social organization whose members embrace a healthy lifestyle and the friendship of others. Why join? • Members receive bi-monthly newsletters that include running tips, general health tips, diet tips and coverage of local events •Members are able to help build a better club by voting on key items at club meetings •Members get discounts on multiple races in town ◦ Typically approximately 20+ local races give discounts to KRRC members - usually around $3 per race. With an annual membership fee of only $15, you can get that back multiple times if you participate in local events • Members receive a monthly discount at Riverside Health & Fitness center ◦ If you are a member or considering membership at Riverside, this discount alone makes membership worthwhile •Members get together weekly to run and excercise ◦We have runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Times and locations change during the year based on the season and weather. You are welcome to come to any, all, or if you prefer to run alone - none.
