The Kansas Contractors Association launched a new advertising and education campaign today designed to protect highway funding and educate state and federal officials about the economic and safety benefits of good roads. The new effort, called “Save Kansas Roads,” will feature highway billboard and semi-truck ads, social media, direct mailings and public outreach to highlight the connection between good roads and a strong state economy. “The reality is our communities can’t thrive and our businesses can’t grow if they are saddled with potholes and unsafe bridges,” said Bob Totten, executive vice president of the Kansas Contractors Association, the statewide highway and heavy civil chapter of AGC of America. “Our goal is to get as many people as possible to learn about why protecting highway funding is so vital to our prosperity.”
