The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has released the following expected traffic impacts for August 18 through August 22. All work is subject to change. I-65 · The ramps at exit 58 (Horse Cave) will have shoulder closures that reduce the lane width down to 12 feet as crews construct the widening in these areas. Barren County · KY 70/KY 90- Construction crews will be installing rock, pavement, guardrail, curb and sidewalks between the CSX bridge and I-65. Flaggers will be present. · KY 90- (Between Adam McCreary Road and Ky. 839) – Earthwork operations will continue. Expect an increase in construction traffic and intermittent flagging operations. Traffic will be switched to a temporary traffic diversion between Golden Pond and Witty Rd. Motorists should be aware that the speed limit has been reduced through the construction zone. · Outer Loop- Lane closures remain in place for both directions on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway between mile marker 8 through mile marker 10. There will be lane restrictions in the eastbound direction of the Louie B. Nunn Parkway. Contractors will still have construction traffic entering and leaving the parkway, U.S. 68 and Ky. 1297 throughout the week. · KY 90- Expect lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews work on the traffic signals at the following intersections: Glasgow Outer Loop, Walmart/ Max Wagner Dr., Reynolds Rd. · KY 70- Contractors will begin an asphalt resurfacing project on Ky. 70 from the intersection of Ky. 90 to the Metcalfe County line. This work will include sidewalk and traffic signal repairs in Cave City.
