The Kettlebell Sots Press The Kettlebell sots press is a very challenging movement. It requires a combination of mobility and strength. Excellent thoracic mobility is essential as well as strength in the hips and shoulder. Going straight into a sots press is quite the challenge so we have a series of progressions to get you there: 1. Go into a deep rack squat with 1 or 2 kettlebells and hold the squat for a minimum of 30 seconds. Really focus on keeping the chest up in the movement. 2. This time do a deep overhead squat with one or two kettlebells and hold the movement 3. This time in the bottom position of the overhead squat, draw the kettlebells into rack position for some negative repetitions. If you can complete all the above progressions then you are ready to complete the sots press with a single bell. You can also do some pretty awesome progressions with Double Kettlebell Sots Presses and Handle Sots Presses.
