The Kindergarten children at Kippa Ring 1 often chat with the head office staff, at the fence of their playground, before the staff head up to the office or go home for the day. Last week was a big week for the Kindergarten children as Miss Sarah was going to be spending the day at head office for some training. The children were very curious and wondered what happens at the office. After Miss Sarah had been to the training the children asked her what she had done in that “castle in the clouds” (head office). After much discussion the Kindergarten children and Miss Sarah decided they would send a letter to head office and see if they could visit the castle in the clouds. There was a buzz of excitement as the children talked about what might happen or what they might see when they go to work in the castle. During the week the children received a letter back inviting them to visit head office on Wednesday. It seemed like a long wait for Wednesday to finally arrive. The Kindergarten children were very excited. During the visit they saw all the people working at the computers and stopped to talk to each of them, asking questions and seeing how things worked. When they went to Miss Zalee’s office they got to use the phone to call down to the centre and let them know what they were doing, before heading to the big staff room for morning team. The Kindergarten children were amazed by the glass table they sat at, as they could see their legs through it. At the end of the visit the children were all given a small teddy bear and thanked for visiting. When the children returned to their centre there was alot of chatting as the Kindergarten children shared their exciting visit to the Castle in the clouds with the other children.
