The King is coming, 3 weeks to go! I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”[Isaiah 6:8]. When thinking of the Lord Jesus coming it is important to recall that He was chosen by God for a special task and has the Name “Christ” or “Messiah” to reflect that purpose. Kings were chosen by God in the Bible and anointed to show each one was God’s chosen representative. The Lord Jesus was God’s chosen and anointed King yet came in humility into the poverty of an ordinary family rather than the grandeur of human royalty.
