The King is leaving: 10 weeks to go: No Distractions (1). We have seen from the earliest of days that the Lord Jesus was single-minded in His desire to fulfill His purpose in coming into our world, “Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business,” He said to Joseph and His mother [Luke 2: 49]. The Lord allowed Himself to be tempted [4: 1-2], but the result of every test was the Lord remained totally separate from every aspect of sin – sinlessly perfect, “..when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.” [13]. At the start of His public witness, He faced astonishing opposition, “So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.” [4: 28-30]. But the Saviour remained resolute, no matter the distraction, all the way to Calvary for you and me. https://youtube/watch?v=yazxxkbSkZE
