The Kingdom of God. It is more than salvation or the church, it is God expressing Himself powerfully in all His works. The Lord is beginning His spiritual rule on earth in the hearts of and among His people. John 14: 22-23, 20: 21-22. Please understand not to conceive of this power as financial, material or political, but as spiritual. In Matthew 11:12 Jesus lets us know: The kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. The kingdom of God is not for those who seldom pray or who compromise with the world, neglect the Word and have little spiritual hunger. It is for men like Joseph (Genesis 39:9), Nathan (2 Samuel 12:7), Elijah (1Kings 18:21), Daniel and his 3 Hebrew friends (1:8, 3:16-18), Mordecai (Esther 3:4-5), Peter and John (Acts 4:19-20), Stephen (6:8, 7:51), and Paul (Philippians 3:13-14); and it is for women like Deborah (Judges 4:9), Ruth (1:16-18), Esther (Esther 4:16), Mary (Luke 1:26-35), Anna (Luke 2:36-38) and Lydia (Acts 16:14-15, 40). The kingdom of heaven is taken hold of only forceful people of God who are committed to the breaking away from the sinful practices of this world and who turn to Christ, His Word and His righteous ways. No matter what the cost may be. BE THOU FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH, AND I WILL GIVE THEE A CROWN OF LIFE. Amen.
