The Kitsap County Fire Chiefs’ Association in conjunction with the Kitsap County Fire Marshal’s Office announced they are lifting the outdoor burn ban at 8:00 am today (9/18/03). The summer’s unusually warm and dry weather left vegetation dangerously dry and the ban was implemented. Fires are still banned on Washington State Dept of Natural Resource lands until September 30. Only recreational fires are permitted on Bainbridge Island without a permit. For more information, visit our website at bifd.org
