The Knick Teaser Gives Bloody Glimpse at Cinemax Medical Drama Though director Steven Soderbergh — the mastermind behind Behind the Candelabra, Erin Brockovich, Traffic and Oceans Eleven — is taking a break from film-making, hes been busy getting his hands dirty on a medical miniseries for Cinemax. The 10-episode drama, The Knick, will premiere this summer with Soderbergh at the helm and Clive Owen as its lead character. The story will take place at the onset of the 1900s.
